Buck Harvest Criteria
At least 3 of the following criteria must be met:
  1. Weight - 185lbs
  2. Main beam length – 20"
  3. Antler base – 4"
  4. Inside spread – 16"
  5. Good tine length
Hunting Licenses
Mississippi residents may use their state licenses on all properties.
All others must purchase a Mississippi non-resident license. A Hunter Education Certificate card is required from hunters born after Jan. 1, 1972.
IMPORTANT!
Licenses must be acquired prior to your arrival and can be purchased by telephone or online. Licenses will be checked upon arrival.

Crossbows are allowed only for persons with a disability who have a special crossbow permit.

For the bird hunting enthusiast, Tara is a great place to chase a gobbling turkey.

We invite all hunters to experience one of the nation's premier hunting destinations.

RESERVATIONS

Deer hunt reservations will be held for 10 days after verbal booking. A 50% deposit is required at the time of booking or reservations will be cancelled. The balance of payment is due July 1. Bookings made later than June 1 will have their balance due on September 1. Balances are due within 30 days for any booking made later than September 1 or reservations will be cancelled. While deposits and payments will not be refunded, deposits may be applied to a hunt for the following year provided Tara is notified of the cancellation at least 30 days prior to the initial hunt date.
