We Accept
Hunting Licenses
Mississippi
residents may use their state licenses on all properties. Louisiana residents may use their
state license on Willow Point only. All others must purchase a non-resident
license; either MS or LA depending on which property you
hunt. A Hunter Education Certificate card is required
from hunters born after Sept. 1, 1969(LA) or Jan. 1, 1972(MS).

IMPORTANT!
Licenses must be acquired prior to your arrival and
can be purchased by telephone or online. Licenses will
be checked upon arrival.
Crossbows are allowed only for persons with a disability who have a special crossbow permit.

More than 15,000 acres of hardwood
forests and intermingled agricultural lands located along
the Mississippi river are designated for bow
hunting only.

273 Pope & Young Class (gross
scores) bucks have been harvested from Tara properties
over the last five seasons.

Bucks weighing over 200 pounds
are common and as high as 320 pounds have been recorded.

RESERVATIONS
Deer hunt reservations will be held for 10
days after verbal booking. A 50% deposit is required at the
time of booking or reservations will be cancelled. The balance
of payment is due July 1. Bookings made later than June 1
will have their balance due on September 1. Balances are due
within 30 days for any booking made later than September 1
or reservations will be cancelled. While deposits and payments
will not be refunded, deposits may be applied to a hunt for
the following year provided Tara is notified of the cancellation
at least 30 days prior to the initial hunt date.
