Come get away for the weekend in the great outdoors at Tara Wildlife. With 8 miles of Mississippi River frontage and 9,000 acres of oxbow lakes and bottomland hardwood forests, Tara Wildlife is a perfect outdoors getaway for families or groups. There’s lots to do – walking our nature trails, fishing, canoeing, birdwatching, or just sitting by the campfire, you’ll be able to unwind, relax, and get away from it all. We have three different choices for lodging with various amenities and rooms:

Halpino Lodge offers six bedrooms and can accommodate up to 14 guests. The serene woods surrounding the lodge offer a more intimate setting for smaller groups. Price: $350/night plus sales tax. Add $25 per person for use of second floor beds. Up to 6 beds available. Halpino has four bedrooms downstairs with two twins each bedroom. 12 and under, no additional fee.
Newly-renovated cabin, perfect for a family or group getaway.
Located just a few hundred yards from the main lodge, Tara III can accommodate up to 8 guests. The four bedrooms in Tara III consist of one king-sized bed with a private bath and three additional bedrooms with a double bed in each that share a full bathroom. Our cozy camphouse located just minutes from the main lodge.
Located just a few hundred yards from the main lodge, the Camphouse can accommodate up to 12 guests. Five bedrooms have two twin beds in each, while the remaining two bedrooms have a queen bed in each. Amenities include a washer/dryer, large half kitchen, and more. Read more on The Camphouse page.
Price: $325/night plus sales tax. Add $50 per person for occupancy of 8 or more. 12 and under, no additional fee. Maximum of 12 guests.
